II FLAMENCO EDITION IN LA VILLETE 2013
In Parc de la Villette, Grande Halle, in Paris it is going to be celebrated in May the flamenco festival which is going to full the city with art the days 16, 17 and 18. In particular, the topic of this edition are the “mythic artists of the gypsy flamenco”.
The artists are headed by José Mercé with “Mi única llave”, his last project. The same day Farruquito and Karime Amaya, Carmen Amaya’s grand-niece, will perform with their elegant, strong and great dance which will remain in the memory of the audience.
The 17th the artists from Tablao Cordobés of Barcelona will pay a tribute to Carmen Amaya headed by Pastora Galván. After that, Estrella Morente, Enrique Morente’s daughter, will perform.
The closure will be celebrated the 18th with a Flamenco Summit which will count with the guitar of Antonio Fernández “Tomatito”, a genius who succeeded along with Camarón de la Isla and as a soloist in many and important collaborations.
Whereas in the last edition the dance was the main topic with Antonio el Pipa, La Farruca or La Moneta and the pianist Diego Amador, this time more disciplines will be showed: singers, dancers, guitarists…contemporary gypsies that have proved to Paris how they feel the flamenco art.
